1. Data We Store on Your Device

Your target language, native language, favorite topics, level, and avatar are stored locally on your device to personalize your LingoEar experience. This data is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes beyond what's described below.

2. Learning Content

The app calls a public API to load the list and content of dialogs and short talks. This request does not include any personal information — only the language/topic/level filters you've selected.

3. Read Aloud (Text-to-Speech)

When you tap "Read Aloud" or play a role-play line, the text is sent to the Google Translate TTS service (free, unofficial) to generate audio. No account information is included in this request.

4. Pronunciation Practice Recordings (Shadowing)

When you practice Shadowing, the app requests microphone access to record your voice and score your pronunciation. Recordings are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers or kept after scoring.

5. AI dialog and short talk generation

When you generate a dialog or short talk with AI, the idea/topic/level you enter is sent to our server and an AI provider to write the script and audio. We do not use this input to identify you personally.

6. Notifications

If you allow it, the app schedules local reminders to practice or review vocabulary daily, directly on your device — no notification content is sent through our servers.

7. Advertising

LingoEar displays ads (banner and app-open ads) through Google AdMob, which may use the device's advertising identifier to personalize ads, subject to your device's ad-tracking settings.

8. Third-Party Services

LingoEar integrates with Google AdMob (advertising) and RevenueCat (subscription billing). These services may collect data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal data.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time via Settings > Delete & reset data.

10. Data Security

We use HTTPS encryption for data transmission and industry-standard security measures. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

11. Your Rights

You have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate information, delete your account and data, and opt out of notifications at any time.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
